Tricia Urlaub lives in upstate New York with her husband and three young sons. She is former managing editor of Writer Online, and has published several short stories in the horror and speculative fiction genre both online and in print magazines.

The decision to help create an online horror magazine came from a deep love of the unexplained, the chilling and the extraordinary. She hopes that Tales from the Moonlit Path will encompass all of these things in different ways.

In addition to editing Tales from the Moonlit Path, Tricia teaches creative writing courses at Write Book and Gift Shop in Honeoye Falls, New York, where her hand-made, romantic-styled jewelry is also sold.

Terrie Leigh Relf has been in bed with horror since she was a little girl. Maybe a less cryptic way to put it is that she’s been dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight since she was a teenager. No, that’s not quite it…Hmmm… what to say about this woman who talks to dead people? If you ask really nice, perhaps she’ll take her skin off and show you who she really is…

If you’re very, very brave, turn out the bathroom lights, ignite a candle, and whisper her name…Once you hear her knocking on the doorway to your mind, let her in…

Oh—and she prefers espresso with thick cream and double non-fat lattes with an extra shot of vanilla syrup…

Terrie Leigh Relf, M.A. currently lives in South Park, an eclectic community within San Diego, CA. She teaches writing at San Diego City College and at The Writer Online Learning Center (http://www.writer-on-line.com/), and is also a freelance writing coach. She is a staff writer at Writer Online, pens “The Mistress of Rhetoric” column for The Espresso, San Diego’s Newspaper for Coffee and Café Culture, and has moved her “Poet’s Workshop” column to FireWeed, a monthly literary arts newsletter published by MindFire Renewed (http://www.mindfirerenew.com/
fireweedmarch/front.html). Relf is also the deputy poetry editor for NFG—Writing with Attitude (http://www.nfg.ca), as well as the former poetry editor, etc. for writersmonthly.us and WORD/San Diego (http://www.wordsandiego.com).

Relf is an active member of the Science Fiction Poetry Association (http://www.sfpoetry.com) whose poems have appeared extensively both on-and-offline. Jupiter’s Eye, her third collection of poetry, was published by Sam’s Dot Publishing in 2004. Her poem, “a poet on board” (Illumen, 2004), was recently nominated for a Rhysling Award, and made the Top 10 in the Preditors & Editors Award. “How to write zips and zip rengays” (Scifaikuest, 2004) was nominated for a James B. Baker Award for “best article” (http://www.samsdotpublishing.com). Relf is the co-editor, with L.A. John Plunket makes his living as an ecological research technician on a Georgia barrier island. When not doing unpleasant things to fish (for research), he read, writes, and watches obscure films. He can often be found roaming the island at night, baying at the moon. His deep love of horror films and fiction may stem from an early H.P. Lovecraft addiction.

Previous publications, dealing with esoteric aspects of fisheries science, have appeared in Louisiana Agriculture and Bulletin of Marine Science. Someday, possibly within the next decade, the novel of dark fantasy he's working on will see the light of day.
